people profile: Rob Biggin  (the rainmaker's coach) 


Rob has been in the business of selling and marketing of products and services for over 28 years.
He spent over 24 years at Hewlett Packard and was promoted through the sales and marketing ranks to become the UK category Managing Director for Healthcare Solutions.

He then moved into an pan-european role as Director of Marketing for the Multi $Bn Services business.

In 2001 he formed Rainmaker Coaching to bring his particular
brand of coaching, people development and business development to the UK marketplace. He carried out the bulk of the interviews with the existing rainmakers to find out their secrets and share them with others.

He individually selects each of the coaches that work for Rainmaker Coaching and ensures that they all maintain the high standards the clients demand of them.

Microsoft: he facilitated the business planning activities of the Microsoft Services UK team, initially with a congregation of 33 people. Then with 42 of the senior executives and their staff and in the latest planning session with 63 people and 5 facilitators.
Has co-developed with Kate Burton and Microsoft an innovative career coaching training for the managers of Microsoft.

Emunio Consulting Services   Ab Initio based IT Services

Rolled out a specially developed programme for Commercial Managers to help them develop Rainmaking habits and to be more client focused and interested in business development. The programme was rated as the best the team had ever experienced.

Unicus Regulatory Services:   Consulting team on Regulatory matters for Pharmaceutical companies. Rolled out a Rainmaker programme for 30 of their consultants and is currently engaged in building their Rainmaking process and go to market strategies.
